We are uniting communities with KLABU on Tuesday 29th of August
KLABU organises a weekly social workout every week at 18:00-19:00h in Amsterdam. They bring newcomers (refugees, asylum seekers and undocumented migrants) and locals together in a bid to learn from each other whilst breaking a sweat! 🙌🏼
This time it’s Apenkooi (Tag)!
KLABU is a unique combination of an NGO and a social enterprise. The NGO builds sports clubs in refugee camps. The brand creates and sells sportswear to fund the NGO and build a strong community of supporters and have recently opened a Clubhouse to bring communities together.
WHEN?
We meet up at the new KLABU Clubhouse from 5.30 PM - 106 Haarlemmerdijk Amsterdam
The exercise is between 6-7 PM in Westerpark (if the weather allows us)
Jan van Hövell - KLABU Founder joins us too.
Today, over 100 million people are forced to flee their homes. Half are aged under 18 and many grow up in refugee camps. Solutions can take years, meanwhile lives risk being wasted.
KLABU SUPPORTS REFUGEES WHO ARE REBUILDING THEIR LIVES
BUSINESS MODEL
To build and maintain clubhouses, the KLABU Foundation raises funds mainly through donations from companies and funds.
We are also supported by our own KLABU social enterprise and sportswear. Each clubhouse has its own unique collection, co-designed with local communities. Worn by supporters worldwide who want to play their part. Half the profits from sales are donated to our foundation, the other half are reinvested to increase the KLABU brand’s impact.

Your company or club team wants to play sports in sportswear that looks and feels great, right? But what if your kit also makes a real difference? KLABU offers personalised team kits.
When your team wears KLABU you now play for something bigger: bringing the power of sport to refugees one game at a time.
Or just become part of something bigger yourself! Pick your style.
